Luger update
After waiting awhile I finally worked up the courage to contact the vet who brought my Luger home for some history on it. I figured what could he say but I dont want to talk about it now. He and his wife were very gracious and gave me many details. He was in the 104th Infantry Division "Timberwolf Division" 414th Infantry Regiment Headquarters Company 2nd Battalion. He took the Luger from a dead German Army officer in or near the town of Eshweiler Germany. This was during Operation Queen. The push to the Ruhr. During this action he received the Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster. A most interesting conversation for sure.
