    Mat,

Thanks for adding some additional information about the revolver; anything further you have to offer would be much appreciated.

BTW: The revolver is still in the hands of the U.S. WWII veteran who brought it back; I see the vet on a monthly basis and, periodically, make inquiry.

      Hi Alan,
thank you for your message. I can give you all information you (or the owner) want. But as I said I’m new on this forum, I tried to send pictures to show the revolver with its bayonet and holder as well as the right holster, but I didn’t arrive to send them. Actually I’m in hospital, when I’m back home, I’ll try again.
You said the Vet found the revolver in a ruin near TRIER/Germany. You probably know that TRIER is only about 10 miles away from Luxembourg. As Patton and his army went through Luxembourg, perhaps it was in Luxembourg that he found it??
Another thing: if the gun owner is interested, I could exchange the Dutch holster against a Luxembourg holster with a pouch for the bayonet and the lanyard. I can also send him a complete description I made for an arms magazine, but it’s in French.
Let me know what you want to have, for the pictures I’ll try later
      Mat
