    Magazine, etc. for 1910 Bergman?

I've got a fairly decent 1910 Danish contract Bergman pistol w/ holster. This gun was 1950's surplus that I picked up recently out of the estate of the guy who mail ordered it in the 1950's -1960's.

I would like to acquire a spare magazine (in condition comparable to my gun and current magazine), in order to complete my "rig". I would also like to acquire a cleaning rod, if possible. I would also be interested in some original ammo for display with the set.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Alan

Bill: Thanks for the nice reviews. I have enjoyed the Bergmans you have posted in the past. These are really well made/finished pistols, so I am happy to have been able to acquire mine.

It took about 10 years to acquire the Bergman, a P.38 (byf 43), P.08 (S/42 1938 w/ both matching mags & holster), 1922 Browning (WaA), pre-war Colt .22 "ACE" w/ factory accessories, British SMLE .22 training rifle, H&R copy of Webbly semi-auto .32), etc. Other than the ACE (which was a factory-direct purchase c. 1937), everything else the guy had was purchased by him out of the classified ads in the back of the American Rifleman magazine c. 1950's-1960's. As I am only 36 years old, I have always drooled over the old AR's and wished that I could purchase from those long-expired ads. Thus, this acquisition was sort of a "time machine" that allowed me to go back and, via my now deceased friend, purchase from those old ads.

                  GWA: e-mail sent - thanks!

                      GWA,

I sent you an e-mail last week re: the possible 1910 Bergman magazine, but have not heard back. Perhaps my e-mail did not go through.

Anyway, if you are still in a position to help me on finding a spare magazine I would enjoy hearing from you.

                      Thanks,

                      Alan

Alan, I did respond. I am on the track of a source of 1910 mags in Denmark but it may be a week before I have all the info.

                          GWA,

Oops - that was you. Sorry, I had a couple of e-mail responses and got mixed up on who the various responses were from.

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any luck on the source in Denmark.

                          Alan
