The auction on Saturday struck twice--the carbine and also this PO8. It appears to be in pretty nice condition. I would estimate 90% overall. The front and rear grip straps have lost most of the finish but are not pitted. It is a .30 cal DWM with no date. I'm assuming it was probably produced in the 1920's. I don't own any luger research books so I can't be sure. It is all matching except the numbered mag. The bore shows very light evidence of corrosive ammo but is still very bright. Was glad to see the old box of Peters ammo. that came with the piece. Any comments appreciated. Thanks for looking. Tomt

If this in fact was originally exported here it will be marked Germany on the right side of the frame. BTW:This model has always struck me as being particularly well finished.
Collectors note: I had the opportunity to examine Col Klinks Luger (Hogans Heros) before the Stenbridge auction a few years back. Ironically The Cols was a 1920 imported Luger marked Germany as I indicated above.

Tom,
FWIW, I concurr with all the comments above. Most of the "alphabet" .30 cal. lugers that were imported to the US, have seen heavy use and abuse. Yours is an unusually nice example. Congratulations, Sir, and thanks for showing.
