What I have is a JGA-SPOETMODELL 22.cal.The rifle looks like it might be a trainer rifle.The stock looks almost like a K98.The rifle is nice contion with the sling that attaches to the left side of the stock.the only thing missing is the butt plate.Is there any sites a guy could go to get a butt plate for this rifle?I have no camera to post any pics.Also any info about these type of rifles would be a big help.Thanks

That is one tall order! It is possible to find a JGA Sportmodell butt plate, but good luck. It could happen soon or take you years. I have never seen one for sale and I've been scouring for German pre-war parts for almost 10 years. You may have a better chance by finding a beater JGA rifle for parts. As for information a good source is Jon Speed's book on smallbore Mausers. The book focuses on Mauser brand rifles, but does include limited information on other makes including JGA. There is usually one for sale on large auction sites. -
Your right dan about a tall order to fill,maybe someday one might fall out of the sky or a some member out there could have one hidden in a shoe box some where.Anyway I did pick the rifle up dirt cheap,any idea of the $ amount on a rifle like this would be?Also dan thanks for your info & time.CarlComment
