Cyq P38....
Multiple questions to ask....
1) is it all matching
2) how is the finish wear
3) what is the serial number, some production blocks are more valuable than others
4) any import marks, if there are this is too high of a price to pay...
That said I paid 425$ for my cyq about 2 years ago....they pop up on gunbroker anywhere from 475$ and up.....

Cyq
numbers are all matching, not an import weapon. The finish is somewhere between 90 and 95 %.As I said it has a cog hammer on it but I do not remember the Ser.number.I have a nice AC 41 with matching mag and a nice BYF 43 both from veteran famlies and I want a CYQ to go along with those 2 .

Gene, I've gotten some reeaally good deals on P38s on GB. I bought about 10 over a period of a few months late last year. Including a pretty darn nice cyq cog. Then, there were usually 3 pages of P38s. These days there only seems to be about 1 page. The supposed "recession" has really hurt sales there. I check out a P38 forum occasionally, they sell them there too, but they seem to cost a bit more.

I don't think a cyq cog hammer is really worth any more than a non-cog. Some sellers will use that feature as a draw for the sale, then ask a little more, just because there are far fewer cogs than there are earlier models. It's all about conditon. I am a bore freak, so have no problem with a little exterior wear if it has a nice bright bore.
