Hope somebody might be able to help me, I've got a S27 1937 RC with a stock that has waffenamt 214 s stamped on the take down disks, recoil lug, nose cap, and butt plate. All the serial numbers on the stock match (butt plate, stock- in barrel bed/channel, hand guard) along with a faint matching serial # on the heal of the stock I uncovered after scrubbing the stock with Murphy's Oil Soap. This is a hardwood stock, not laminated. When looking up the WAa codes it shows that it should be a S/178 manufacturer code, but I can not find any information pertaining to the manufacturer. Can anybody assist?

Keep in mind that each WaA inspector number was assigned to a region, not necessarily a single factory. So it is common to find the same WaA number on items from different makers.
Waffenamt number 214 was used by a bayonet maker (S/178) but was also used by Berlin Lubecker. So, it is possible that your stock came from a BLM rifle.
