            Excellent rifle Bill. My Uncle gave me one of these in the 60's... It was the first rifle I learned to deer hunt with in Michigan.

                      Krag Carbine

                      Hey fellas....new to the site and love all the info. I likewise like these rifles and have a really nice original carbine version of this rifle. Will post pics when I get home. Thanx for all the wonderful info here on this site.

                        Bill,

                        I love all the versions of the Krag. My stepfather had one of these as well as a Waffenamt Norwegian in 6.5mm. Unfortunatey the Norgie had been sporterized, but it was very accurate, expecially with handloads.

                          Great looking Springfield.

                          That's funny, my dog is named Lucky as well. It's a very well earned name too, since she chewed up a carbine hand guard of mine about 2 months ago!! Of course it was "my fault" for leaving the vault open for her to get to it!

                          Nice PL PPK too!!
