    Strange Looking Holster

O.K, you holster experts out there.... In a recent purchase, I got this "dual tone". It appears to be partially made of paper. The flap itself is leather, no question, but the remainder is what I believe to be paper. The "hang tag" on it when I got it said "Browning". I'm just guessing here, but would this be for their 1922 Model? I don't have one to try, and even if I did, the "paper" part is very rigid, and I'm afraid it might break.
I'll show you the interesting marks .

This one is on the front of the flap. Krieghoff??

Comments, value?? I'm not a holster guy.

I have a similar holster in black, original to my Browning 1910/22. Value is hard to tell, In Norway you will probably get them for $50
          Best regards, Tom

Forgot to mention that the laminted "paper" is probably quite strong. I wouldn't worry too much about "breaking" it.

Bill is correct. This is an original Krieghoff made holster for the Browning 1922. The body is made of ersatz (which is a laminated vinyl), and closure flap is made of cowhide. That is totally correct. These are Luftwaffe issued.

I remember when people didn't want these type of holsters at all! Now, they are highly sought after. Go figure!
