Hi,
I've just bought some 7.92mm ammo (19 rounds) that are installed in a webbing belt.
Being totally unfamiliar with ammo, can someone answer the following....
1. Every 4th round has a red tip (tracer?) and is marked k61 7.92...this is obviously 7.92mm but what does the k61 signify?
2. The remaining rounds have a nickel (?) projectile and are marked with the numbers 10, 49 and have the symbols of a square & a star.
Some have 11, 48, Z and a star and the rest have 12, 50, circle & a star.
What does all this mean? Are they years of production?
3. The belt holding them is a khaki webbing belt about 23mm wide. I don't think this belt is actually for this type of ammo, but is anyone familiar with a webbing belt/7.92mm ammo combination?
Every little bit of help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tony
