My 98k single shot Erma .22 cal conversion kit

When did Erma make these? I just got this single shot unit, and it has matching number in the 200s. Were alot of these made?

It fits a 98k, and seems to have a waffenampt though marked for export - what is this thing?

Any .22 cal Mauser experts out there - help! s/f Robert

            A guess

i would guess that these were left over from war time police single shot units, and sold post war, There was war time issued single shot units for the police which had no police marks or WaA markings just the eagle n proof...BILL

Thanks Bill, any idea of value? I'm going to be selling it, so if you have an idea of what it's worth I'd appreciate it. s/f Robert

Robert, The proof mark is not a WaA proofing but the proof mark of the West German Ulm proof house...The unit was a continuation of the single shot conversion units that were produced in the 30s and reintroduced in the 60s, for commercial foreign markets Ie. U.S., thus the designation in English...BILL

Nifty little case for it. Does it bear the Erma logo or was it privately made I wonder.

Joe, I don't see the Erma name on it, but it appears to be factory fitted IMHO. It's almost inletted like a rifle stock. s/f Robert
