    7.92x33 Kurz, Steel Case's reloadable?

    Hello Fellow collectors!,
I have a question about reloading Steel cases for 7.92x33, the deal is for 2400 round's, but they are Steel!, at 50 cents a round, it is cheap enough,,,,,,but if they can't be reloaded,,,then how good of a deal is it?.....,,,,Do any of my fellow, collectors have a line on MP-44 Ammo?,,, and an answer to this reloading question,,,,I really appreciate it..
    Kindly...
    Bernie.

No1 , steel case reloading is verboten !!.
No2 , it's berdan primed - hardly worth the effort to mess with berdan primed brass let alone steel.
No3 , steel cased surplus if it's old can and often does have corrosion on the interior which can weaken the soft steel casing. It may survive the first firing , but you may get a rude surprise trying a reload with it , that is if you can find the proper size berdan primer and the relvant tools needed to deal with berdan primed cases.
Steel cases are usually washed ( a mild plating ) with a copper based alloy , or they are dry waxed & laquered. In either case they are designed to withstand the one use safely.
On top of it all if you are silly enough to run steel cases through your dies you will find you will damage them in short order.
You are best off going the long route and making brass with form dies from any casing based on the same casehead. Sure it's laborious , but it's safe and the cases can be reloaded multiple times.
The surplus steel cased ammo - buy it just to make your bullet hose warm, hell that's waht it was made for !.

      Bernie,
As gew98 wrote, it's not worth the hassle & risk to reload steel cased ammo. .50 per round for surplus 7.92 Kurz is not a bad deal at all. Hornady (as well as a few others) are making loaded ammo in that caliber now but it is $1.00 per round.

        Thank's Guys!

I want to thank all who wrote comments and who sent PM's,,,the bullet hose, is the comment of the day!!!,,I will buy the steel stuff at .50cents/round, leave it lie then get some hornady, and start the reloading process,,,,,You know what a new toy does to you,,,you play with it most in the 1st 6mos, so 2400 ought to last at least 1 month !!!!,,,,,.,,,,.
