Bodes And Von Hoth Are Right

First were used in the DDR, after it was replaced, many Mp44 were renumbered in East Germany or Russia, then some were sended to some guerrillas all over the world to expand the comunism.I have seen photos of mp44 in use in Lebannon or Etiopia, may be someone else know about other countrys.Look at Claus espeholt great web page for more info, even Tito parachutists used the Mp44 (ex DDR ).Today the surviving mp 44 that were not sended to the guerrillas and similars have surfaced in the civil market.

My own MP44 is ex DDR. In my case, all the numbers match and are not a "forced match".

There is a very good chance that there are still stock piles of MP44's in the former Soviet Union. A firearms dealer I know buys from there from one particular source. He has bought most German weapon types from there. But not, as yet, MP44's. He suspects they have some but are holding them back

        Cheers, Ade.

              Thanks for the reactions.
I have been offered this MP43. As said it's fully automatic and licensed.
I have to work out a deal with the seller who wants me to offer him an honest deal! At the moment I'm the only person he's offered it to and I have some time to make up my mind...
I know these sell for many thousands in the US, but for the European members, what would seem an honest bid?

              Thanks,

              Johan

                Hello Johan,

Prices these days are (atleast to my knowledge) between 1750-2500 euros and then they are demilitarized.

I think when you have the chance to buy a working mp43 you should take it,Atleast for a fair price.

BTW if you dont want it anymore you can always sell it to me

Stumbled across this topic again and wanted to share the one I finally ended up with…
Straight out of the woodwork a couple of years ago, all matching, except for the mag. Only missing the front sight cover.
                  Full auto and legally owned…
