    Hitlerjugend Kar 98K?

    Gentlemen please help me. I have a J.G. Anschutz, Zella Mehlis, called Wehrsportkarabiner in 4 mm Lang.
    It is made out of Kar98K parts and is looking very much like a Kar98K
    Range of rear sight is up to 10 meter!
    I have never seen such a rifle before.
    Is it rare?
    What is its value?
    Can you help me? Anybody who knows anything about this rifle? Was it used by organisations like Hitlerjugend?

      The forward band is the same like pre-war K98.
      Complete with bayonet lug.
      Muzzle = .45 (11.25 mm) !!

        The 4mm rifle was a sporting rifle for indoor target shooting or outdoor..Some were used by the KDF on ship cruises...Here is my KDF marked one....BILL

                      Very nice rifle you have and also the target! I am surprised that the target state 30m (maybe 50m) dis-tance! My rear sight will stop at 10 m! And I agree with that. Those cartridges are not suitable for longer distances.

                      I have an airgun Mars115 which also looks the same.

                      Is it anybody who knows more about these rifles?

                        You need to get a copy of Jon Speeds book on german period 22 rifles. I should think this is all covered in spades in it.
