C&R License

Yes, mine took about 3 or 4 weeks. Here in Massachusetts you also need a License to Carry (sometimes called an FID). It expires every 5 years. I just re-applied for mine and it took me 3 months to get it back from Boston. 3 months! Let's see...3 weeks from the BATF for my C&R. And 3 months back from Boston.

God, I love this state!

I will usualy shoot a pistol when I first get it (after checking it out real good) to be sure it is functioning properly. I then clean it real good and put it up for safe keeping. I do have a high power in about 85% condition that I shoot frequently along with a P.38 that I also like shooting. I have only a few that I have never shot due to their extremely good condition. They are a lot of fun. Our former Pastor at my church was from Ireland (He was a Belfast policeman before being called to the ministry ). He just drooled all over a luger I have until I finaly let him shoot it. He said they very rarely got to shoot their service pistols in Ireland and he just loved it here in the US. We are very fortunate and must work hard to keep our right to own our firearms. frank v.
