    Okoska's K98k- S/42 1937

    Achtung alle!
I am posting pictures of Okoska's K98k on his behalf. His is a very nice example made at the Mauser factory in Oberndorf am Neckar in 1937. It is all-matching, complete with Weimar proofs.

Enjoy everyone and be sure to forward your praise to Okoska.

    K98

    OKOASKA:
THAT SIR IS THE ONLY K98 I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH, THE OLD EARLY FINE
MACHINING, HIGH POLISHED, ALL MATCHING K98. IT LOOKS UNMESSED WITH
AND IS A COLLECTORS DREAM! YOU ARE VERY LUCKY, I AM SURE THERE ARE MANY DROPS OF DROOL OVER THAT ONE! ALSO THE EARLY MACHINED PARTS
SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE STAMPED EXAMPLES, IN MY OPINION THE K98 STARTED LOOSING AT LEAST SOME OF IT'S MAGIC WHEN THE STAMPINGS
BECAME ROUTINE, AS YOU KNOW, IT ONLY GOT WORSE, LESS NUMBER'S, NO CLEANING RODS, SCREWS REPLACING PINS. ECT.

        K98

        Okoska:
Your K98 is what all the fuss is, about that famous rifle! Russian capture's Yugo capture's, mismatching bolt's, nothing comes close to that example you have! Too bad there are not too many left to buy. I feel bad for collectors who want one so bad, but just can't seem to locate any. I had an allmatcher given to me a long time ago it is a 42 BCD, smooth as glass, never part with it! I take it out every day and just admire it! No rifle compares to the K98!

Yes, it is a good price since I have not seen such a beauty in a long time. Too bad it's deacted, but there is not much you can do about that. Rather have one like that than a Russian capture deact. At least it's an all matcher rather than all those numbers ground off, differant bolt's and other parts, I would much rather have a nice all matcher deact than a RC deact myself. They are destroyed as far as I am concerned. If you can down load pics on your computer, I will gladly send a couple of pics of my K98. I would need your E mail address. regards geopop

I believe the good condition is through the possibility that this rifle is a Portugal contract 1937, and were not used in combat in WW2. best regards,Andy
