Original holsters for Walther PPK / DRP & RZM info

I am looking for some info on variations for the holsters that would have been issued with walther PPK /DRP ( Deutsche Reichspost ). As well as the PPK /RZM. I have recently aquired these pistols and would eventually like to find correct holsters. I do realize that many RZMs came with holsters marked for party leaders, but my knowledge stops there. My PPK /DRP is the italic slant marking with 90 deg. safe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any links to places that offer such items , great as well.

it's a good site, but I don't think he'll find the info posted.

for your DRP walther, you simply want to find a holster that has the ink stamped DRP marking on the inside of the flap. But as for the exact, proper RZM holster, that will take some research.......

He will probably have to post the question and wait. Definitely the best p38 and walther pp/ppk site in the world.
The RZM and non RZM party leader pistols have the most confusing information available, especially what is the correct holsters and such. There were different variations such as Drop down holsters and then the regular ones. Much of what little information that is available is based on research done by a few key collectors who had to use photographs, and original period publications such as war time and pre war advertisements. (the party leader pistols had to actually be purchased by the party leader by an installment plan)

This is difficult because not only did all the records get destroyed or lost, but when the G.I.'s brought back captured pistols, they cared very little about the pistol being in the correct holster. many times holsters were accidently switched with pistols or lost all together. It's a miracle to me when a pistol can still be found with the capture papers and a correct holster. Luckily, because collectors want the right holster, there is information available....

they did post alot of p-38 faqs on the forum, the walther pp and ppk faqs page will be next one day.

I will check my references and see if I can find the data you need.

right now, I am also in the market for a proper holster for an Crown N RZM ppk. But I'm looking even harder for a Reich Finance Ministry marked holster for my RFV PP.

        I found the info.

But let me check with the author who did the research before I post the information to make sure we have permission.

          OK,

the advertisements designated for the Dienstpistole f. Politischen Leiter are for an Akah Anuschat holster most often seen with RZM mark and number L2/1051.

but sometimes commercial holsters were used as well.

              no problem.

just go ahead and post your questions on the p38 forum.

there are many experts including authors of collecting Books there.

I strongly suggest you joing the NAPCA because I've learned a lot of valuable information through their "auto mag" publication.

You would be surprised of all the misinformation that the general public still has with these guns. NAPCA sorts through all the bullcrap tells you what is fake and what not.
