    Mystery rifle

    http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/de...er_thrower.htm

What in the world is it? It reminds me of a japanese pressure test rifle.

yes it looks like a pressure test set up. Intersting that they (ordnance facility maybe as opposed to a factory) used a numbered production rifle to make this set up rather than just a blank receiver.

This one is probably not worth much as it not matching and therefore not worthy of a proper collection!

It would be cool to have one of these, I dont think it is any kind of grenade launching rifle, but it may be a flare rifle. But it looks most like a pressure test rifle.

Maybe its a grappling hook launcher

But whatever it is, It should be in a museum as it is unusual.

Never seen this one but I have seen several Mausers modified to shoot fishing sinkers using a captive piston. This one looks a lot like them.

Do you remember if it was German done or civilian done?

This rifle is probably one of the wierdest things I have ever seen, I dont think its a pressure test rifle as it doesnt have a barrel on it.
