          Hello,
I am not the only one on the forum to have this type of machine anyway?

Gurtsack - I bought some repro MG15 AA sights from IMA-USA that look like they would fit your ZB set up! We had to handfit the hell out of them to fit the MG15 - tho.

My ZB26(t) - photographed this afternoon.

We had to hit Omega and "not" a few other sources to find all the parts.
(I am not positive but I believe some of the Omega parts are Nanking arsenal - that strange swastika stamp.)
The mags and mag holder I believe are unmarked FAO Spanish LMG issue - but fit and work just fine.
The butt plate curiously was the hardest and most difficult part to find.
The internals on this were still "brown" and almost un-used.
The exterior, especially the wood was beat to hell.

*This is a movie gun. it is only cosmetically historical

This is a firearm that has fascinated me for some time -
In the same way that the MG42 design overcame and outlasted, the ZB26 was ahead of it's time - or a product of it's time -
It's universal appeal, and longevity speak for it's success.
I was a cadet trained on a Bren .303 - and was the last year of the 7.62mm LMG version in the late 1980's -
Here are some pics from my internet foraging - if they are your pics - I apologize - take my posting them here as a compliment

(A few Luftwaffe training session photos.)

Did Brens rechambered for 7.62 have a straight or curved mag?

I have 1980's era LMG mags for my FAL - I can photograph for you - if you wish.
Mine are Metric, configuration but the inch ones are exactly the same angle, just some cosmetic difference and a different mag catch.

I think (assume) the cant (angle from rim to neck) of the cartridge dictates the curve of the mag.
                      1980's L4A3/L2/C2 LMG - 7.62x51mm - almost straight.
                      ZB26/30/FAO/Nanking - 7.92X57mm - almost straight.
                      Bren .303 - curved.
                      ZB30 - 8X56r - extreme curve.
I have seen these converted to 7.62x39mm - but they used an Ak magazine.
I have heard of conversions in 7.62X54 Russian, which I think would be awesome, probably have to use the 8X56r mag.

                        MG-26t

I've been in the process of restoring a DEMIL'ed and badly neglected ZB-26 for about two years now. After a great deal of help from members of this site, I've been able to track down all the needed parts EXCEPT the butt plate/shoulder support. Finding this part is turning into a quest for a second holy grail! Any suggestions are welcomed....

You better ask the seller if he would send out of the EU.

If you are not registered, take into accout it could take you a couple of days to complete the process.
