    VZ 24 G 24 Czech Mauser Model 1924

Friends, let me know what you think of this Mauser? The stock and chamber has 17977 and the bolt has 1789 on one side and E3 on the opposite. The end of the barrel has VZ24 8mm Czecho C.A.I GEORGIA VI. This did come from a vets home. The letter Z in a circle in several places.

The vet (or someone in his family) bought a mismatched Czech import

The brother of the vet said that he did remove the sling loops and painted them black. There also was 2 other weapons, a sporterized Arisaka with mum and a 1952 Polish Mosin Nagant with forearm missing. Once I research these I will be listing them also. There are dies a loader and ammunition for a 7.62 7.7

The vet probably bought it about 5-7 years ago if that.....it's a Czech reimport, and not associated with German G.24(T)'s at all.....
See this link for a German issued G.24....

The rifle you show was being imported at one time for about 79$ or so if I remember right.

I just bought a nice all matching Polish M44 Mosin for 99$, sometimes you see them go in the high 100$ range on the auction sites. Chris....

Some of these rifles have Nazi markings on them, I saw one on Surplusrifleforum.com

BTW, what part of ohio are you in?

Hi Bill, it would be a real shame to remove your pics.

I know you now have your answer, but this thread would then be rendered a bit useless in the future if anyone is doing a search for info on these rifles.

                          Cheers, Ade.

Agreed, it is quite irritating to try to look up some information only to discover that the poster has removed the pics of the item in question.

I can leave the pics for future research. I do try and sell many of my items and just for the buyers sake, he wouldn't see pics of his purchase on a web site. Again, thanks for your expertise. Bill
