Please i have one question what is this marking "X"



My mauser 98 k (from russian capture) have same mark "X"

As far as I know, it indicates the same thing. It means that it is a Russian-captured P38.

The X stamp kills the value. It has also been dipped by the russians to presevre it. It should also have a import mark on it. It should be worth no more than $400.00.
