    Gun Parts-german!

IM in the position of possibly acting as the shipping rep./advisor for a gentleman in the Former East block. He has access to all (AND I MEAN ALL) weapons used by the German army in WWII. I have been trying to convince him of parting out weapons and selling parts.
What I need to know is what items you gentleman feel are desired by both you and the gun collecting community. I already have discussed the 80 FG42's he has access to and the G/k43's/G41's.
But how about the pistols etc. Your input would help as this is my second attempt to convince him.
    Please comment!
    Thank you!

If he parts them out, won't they lose their value?

      Money

      Jaime,
Its all about money and the ability to get them in to this country and out of his. He's not a collector, he's in it for the money. I showed him a picture of 18 K98k's and he asked me why I had so many guns, its all money on this possible venture. Sorry!

          FG42

Well I have not been there to see them, he also claims that there are "Thousands" of 98k's. I have no reason to doubt him, I ship items for him... and proof is i the pudding!

Well, if he can get me a bolt or just the extractors for a G98/40, let me know! I've been hunting for an extractor for 6 months now.

THe rifles and pistols I would try to import whole, But the machine guns I would bring in as parts kits. Accesories and spare parts would be nice though!!!

                  Robert,

I agree with Brian. I feel that the rifles and pistols are worth much more whole, than to part them out. The machine guns of course will have to be parted out in order to ship them into the USA.

As for parts I need, I personnally would like to see some stocks for the K98s! I'll email you my list Robert!

How much for an FG42 parts set?

Are they E type or G type? Thanks.

Has your contact access to any MG34 parts?

If the gentleman has access to magazines, I could use an extra for a P27 and a P08.

Thanks Robert - I've only recently decided to specialise on the MG34 and my first purchase is on the way to me (2 pistol grips, 1 of which is the second model type with the cutouts for the clockwork mechanism). I hope to kit these out with as many of the relevant parts as possible. If you can bear with me I'll make a list when I get the grips and pass it on to you?
