Disassembling a double barrel flare gun

    Hi,

Does anybody can help me for disassembling a double barrel flare gun ?
It's the Model L (the one for the Luftwaffe), it seems that the triggers don't work..

I know that there is a lot of pieces in it (approx. 80) and I know that springs like to jump

Any advice, links, reference to any document would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Bruno

      Hello

I own only the singal barrel version, but I really dont know if you could take it apart without spoiling it, Perhaps a gunsmith might able to do so with the right tools, I havnt got mine to hand but can you not see the spring for the trigger when opening the pistol to load it?

I also if I rember rightly you can access more if you take the grips off, but again you might damage them. If you dont want to fire it leave it?

      thanks

      John

        Thanks John for your answer.

My question was just concerning disassembling .. In fact, the two triggers are working properly but looking a little bit forward, my question is concerning 'maintenance'

Oiling the right places to avoid any rust and so on.

        Just to justify me:

        Have a good day

I'm not sure if you're talking about the gap where you can see the springs on the triggers or not. If you are, I don't see a problem there. My pistol is the same way. What I noticed is that the triggers seem to have actually been lowered, and you can see most of the number stamped onto them. On my pistol you can only see the numbers when the triggers are pulled back. I can't offer any help with dissasembling it, unfortunatly. If you don't plan to fire it though, why risk it?

Here's a photo of the triggers on mine for comparison.

            Thanks Steven for your message.

In fact, I had some problem to 'arm' the hammer and I just understand that I have to force a little bit more than on the more usual mono barel flare guns so the triggers work. So it's now ok is everything is fine.

To answer one of your question, I don't want to use it and fire some old (or recent) flare !! I was only wishing to know where to put some oil on its mechanism...

Anyway, thanks for your comment. By the way, I see that your flare gun is for flying people too (the marking is Fl and no Fn) .

            Have a good day.

            Best regards.
