    My Johnson.....

    Hi Guys.

I wanted to display my new Johnson.
It is not everyday a Fella' get to show off his Johnson in a Pubic place !!!
These were competition for the M1 Garand, but lost out b/c the M1
Garand was already in production during WWII. It was the only rifle
that went into production during WWII, being produced from 1941-1944.
Today, these rifles are very rare indeed, and this is 98% finish, with
original Dated 1907 leather sling, original Bayonet and Scabbard.
    Enjoy !!!

Supposedly, GI's complained the bayonet was useless in combat...

Dummy ammo., 1943 dated 30.06, and 1912 dated Cupric-nickel 30.06 ammo all on stripper clips for loading in the Johnson rifle.
It held 10 rounds in a drum type magazine...
Tht's what gives it the "pot-bellied pig" appearance...

Loading the Johnson with the stripper clip....
It also could be loading with single rounds as well.

Th barrel can be easily removed from the weapon, by a latch.
This featured appealed greatly to the Paratrooper Corps, and some
small number were used by Marine Paratroopers during WW2...
Also, the weapon is recoil operated by this barrel moving back a forth
                  during firing. Pretty neat.

Very nice and uncommon rifle. I always liked the odd look and function of the Johnson. Too bad I can't afford one. There's three on gunbroker right now at around $6 to $6.5k each!!!
