    Can U sale MP44 here?

Can you sale your MP44 here? and how easy for collectors to import the gun to their own country. I have a MP43 and a MP44. I am thinking to sale the MP44 overseas so any advise from forum members are appreciated.

No you can't sell an unregistered machine gun here. I was just talking to one of your machine gun dealers yesterday who is here for the SAR show. IMO You have much more sensible laws in NZ regarding machine guns as we do here.

        Thanks Jim,
What a shame, you can't own a fully function machine gun. I was fortune to purchase a MP38 (fully fuction) in europe, the local authority approved the export licence to NZ, however, none of the courier companies in europe want to ship my MP38. In the end, I swap the MP38 to 2 all matching K98 rifle. I was told, all the courier companies in europe can ship bolt action rifle but not machine gun....
Well, I will take my MP43 to the range on 18/12/2007 and try it out. Hopes the 900 rounds are enought for that day. Also, If anyone still interested please pm me. I will put the photos here very soon.
        Cheers
        Mike

              Standfast:
I don't want to mislead as it is legal to own machine guns here. However they had to either be originally registered after the 1934 law, registered during the ammnesty period in 1968 or manufactured and registered before May 1986. After that time it became impossible to register any new machine guns for the civilian trade. There are approximately 200,000 legal machine guns in this Country but the prices are out of sight due to the demand. I was very impressed with your continuous ammnesty registration provision in NZ as it is estimated that there are also around 200,000 unregistered machine guns in the Country turning otherwise respectable people into law breakers.

Mike, if the gun is on a C endorsement then you are NOT allowed to shoot it with live ammo. Only blanks at an organised theatrical event.

If you decide to break NZ law by shooting your gun with live ammo, please do not share pictures on a public forum or over the internet in general.

                        Hi Bas,
Thank you for your reminder. No, I never fired live ammo for the MP44 that under my C cat licence, but I will use the MP43 which is under my E cat licence (it's fire semi only). It will be silly to break the NZ law otherwise, all my guns will be taken away from me.
                        Regards
                        Mike
