    Soviet revolver, 1915?

    Hello,

I have a nice Russian pistol, I think. The lettering looks Russian. It is marked 1915. Very nice condition. Can someone please help me identify this pistol? I will be posting about 7-8 photos. Please wait.

Mine is a straight-wall casing with a slightly tapered case mouth. The 1923 you sent a link to has a bell-mouthed case, more powder capacity than mine. It's a 7.62 X 38.

Here's the case. The wadcutter is about a 1/4" up inside the mouth.

Hi Robert, the link provided by "History" shows the correct pistol, a Nagant revolver. I too am a bit puzzled though by the cartridge shown therein?

You show the correct one that I am familiar with.

                          Nice pistol

                          Cheers, Ade.

there are many case mouth variations on the nagant round, as far as i know they are all interchangable.
