About the Waffenamts... I'm not sure but I think there is one in the backside of the bolt bowl... (but don't consider it as a certainty...)

Sorry for the lack of details

Hey, it seems our two 98k come from the same manufacturer: Waffen Werke Brunn. Yours has been made in the Brunn's factory and mine in the Bystrica's.

Is your 98k's phosphate finish original? The cross plate has never been phosphated?

Can I see zoom pictures of the marks, please?

An other original accessory to go with

Actually, only some of the small parts are phosphated, like the bolt, some of the bolt parts and the rear sight ramp. Much of the gun is blued. The stock is a correct dot made stock, but is a replacement to this rifle.

I'll try to post more pics later.

PS, mine has no lion proofs - it's all WW2 German. floorplate is a speed-milled "1" proof plate, TG. is a svw, stamped with no capture screw holes. Bolt is WaA63 with round gas holes. Mine has a guide rib, but many swp45's were made with bolts that had no guide rib. The VERY late ones even had sheet metal rear sights.

Here's my German dou45. It's the first phosphate one I ever saw ( I did buy another C block later that was phosphate, which I traded). This one came from the Vet's estate with all his stuff.

Here's the swp45 with the sheetmetal rear sight. Claven, your swp45 with standard sight is very nice, wish I had it!!!!

How much is a 1945 98k with matching numbers in good condition? (I just ask for a price range)?

                      Bye
