Love the MP38 and the MP43/44, that I see there....

How long did it take you to amass such an in depth collection? Dave/dblmed

                  MP40s

Thats just some I have taken out of my safe to make room for more. Here are a few more pitcures. I have 4 MG42s and 2 MG34s. The MP38 is all matching, even the bakelite is numbered to the gun.
                  Thanks, P. Stout

                    MP40s

                    Hi,
It may just be a trick of the light on the photos, but are the main receiver tubes on the MP40s original? I have read that in the States some were remachined, rather than stamped, to rebuild guns that had previously been deactivated. I've been looking at photos of some I've handled and the rib along the top of the receiver tube is more pronounced and in your pics the tubes seem to exhibit cross-wise turning marks.
I may be wrong, but I'd like to know.
That apart - what an arsenal!
                    Best regards,
                    Phil

                      MP40s

The MP40s are tube guns. The MP38 is Original. They all are live MGs that fire live and blanks.

                        PDStout.

                        Welcome to the forum.
                        Very nice collection.
It's obviuous you have been in the game for a while.
                        Congrats on a nice collection.
I'd love to have more Class 3 stuff myself, but finding them priced
where the Average Joe can buy them is tough !!!
What's the deal with that finned barrel on the Mg-42 ???
                        Just curious...

                          MP40s

The finned barrel is a blank firing barrel. I use the MG42 in WWII reenactments.
It will fire live rounds also. My favorite is the MG42. I have built several Post Samples from demiled kits.
