    They themselfs admit the fire arms were obsolete. What on earth is the point of destroying something that is not longer usefull anyways?
    This is just a propaganda stunt, like for most of what goes on in Africa for that mater.

    The rich countries send in money by the front door, and then by the back door they send in weapons, finance rebels, etc. Its all politics.

      It would make more sense if these countrys would deactivate the firearms and sell them to collectors in the western hemisphere... They could make some searious money out of that... but they are just too stupid to recognise that... There must be a lot of rare pieces in the african arsenals...
