MP 40 disassembly

Hello,

Can someone walk me through the process of taking apart / reassembling the spring-loaded "takedown" lug on the underside of the MP 40 forearm?

Can't remember just where, but I think it is pinned together.
You will damage it by taking it apart. The pring is pretty strong.
Not a good idea unless it is already broken.

Push down on the take down stem from inside the tray. This should relieve pressure from the knob to tap out the pin.

Dieter is correct, that works fine with the correct tools when there is no pressure on the knob....
