German Machine Gun Slide Rule "Messdreieck 34"

Here is a cross-collectable item I have had in my mathematical instruments collection for a long time. I hope this is the right section to post it.
It has taken a lot of searching to find out what it was used for. The description I have located referres to it as "Messdreieck 34", used to optimize the firing effectivenesss of machine guns. I once located a manual for the device, but unfortunately the owner had sold it on ebay before I contacted him.
It is in effect a very complex slide rule, approximately 12" long. In the mathematical instrument collecting world Haff is the most desirable maker. The complexity and precision of the instrument must have made it a very expensive item, even at the time it was manufactured. Only the Germans would come up with such a complicated device.
If by chance anyone has a manual for this, I would love to get a copy. It would be extremely interesting to find out what calculations can be performed.
    Wolfgang
