Shipping mags to the USA

Hi guys

I might need to ship a P38 magazine to a buyer in the US.

Does anyone know what UK or US law has to say about that kind of thing?

Shipping a weapon, I can understand, might not be permitted.

But an emty mag...that should be okay...right?

For a single magazine to the US you should have no problem. Technically he has to file a Form 6 Personal Importation document, but for one magazine (provided it is truly an old one)I don''t think they'll care.

You should be able to send a low capacity pistol mag witout a problem. If you send a MP44 magazine or something along those lines it may get snatched.
