k98 markings

Your basic K98 Mauser made by Oberndorf (42) in 1940 with a receiver that was inspected thrice (E/655)...

I have a 1939 '42', they are sweet shooters! Looks like the ruskies got to the symbols though!

The K98 is an awesome gun, I actually have 2, the other is a DOU 44 (haven't shot that yet). As these Russian Captures coming in has made it somewhat affordable to attain a nice K98!

Yes, you are right, the Russians had this one. Thanks for all the other input guys, still learning. Looking forward to a shoulder kicking range session.
Wonder how it compares to the mule kick of the FN I used to fire?

The K98 kicks pretty well but not THAT heavy. Still nice to fire though although my K31 is nicer to shoot with
