        What would be a fair value on something like this? I've been asked to look at almost the same set up except no canteen but there is a photo of the late vet wearing the holster and gun. I haven't seen it yet but just assuming it's in average shape for it's age. I was also told it's from 1918.

          Hello David,

          Much depends upon condition, and the serial number of the 1911. 95% of the value is in the weapon. I've already received offers of $1800-$2000, which should give you an idea of the market value.
