hey is that you ernie ? brother bills neighbor? this is pitts . this is a great web site. these guys are experts. i have a lot of problems with "new" correct mil ammo working. i have good luck with 50s vintage mil ammo , non corrosive working great . my k98 won't shoot new bellier and sellot at all , but chekoslovakian ammo with shorter base works perfect. my cz27 wont cycle with new ammo but seems ok with older shorter nose ammo that came with it. i would watch LENGTH of ammo more than anything. seems like the germans were more concerned with diameter than length. and length (excessive) can fail the function test.
