Yes, these pistolas are definitely being re-popped in India. The numbers on the barrel look very modern to me - a long string like that says 'serial number' (or some bazaar wallah's idea of a serial number) to me. An original of these would be very very dear, I expect.

A Canadian dealer - The Discriminating General - sells 6-8 pistol models from the period, all quite well done but all newly made too. Check his site - I can't recall whether or not this is one Peter stocks. Sorry!
