What kind of pistol is this?

Had a lady ask me to find out what kind of pistol this is (sorry for bad photos, phone camera) . This was brought back and I saw the capture papers.

This is probably a Belgian revolver that collectors usually called "Velo-Dog". Your seems to have a larger than usual caliber, probably something around .38.

This kind of cheap guns was largely produced in Belgium, Spain, France and Germany from late 19th Century until the 1930s. A view from the proof marks, if any, would be helpful to identify where it come from.

Maybe the others can add something else.
