    Rifle grenade launcher

I posted this in the equipment forum although maybe I should have also posted here I have a grenade launcher which is some what different from the standard type, the end fitting with clamp is the same as the normal type although the screw threads are finer, but the rifled barrel is different, does anyone have any info on this type?
    cheers,

Gary, I can't see where your is any different than the standard grenade launcher. Yours is viewed differently. If there a heavy rifling in the barrel?

I suspect that the one on the left is a later version, with a simplified process of making the barrel without any change in size. Perhaps the same goes for the thread.

I know it has been a while since I started this thread, but today when I was looking through photo's albeit for something else I found a picture of this type of launcher in use by members of the "Prinz Eugen", see photo it is more apparent in the original photo which is in "Wenn alle bruder schweigen"

I have also had the launcher cleaned, this revealed more markings, as you can see from the photo's below, and is also retains quite a lot of its original bluing, it is serial numbered on the body and the 2 hinges, there is also a 7 where the flat bottom part of the clamp meets the round tube section and on the tube section again a number 7.
the launcher I had soaking in diesel for some 2 months hoping it would penetrate the thread section so I could show this better as it is really a fine metric thread, but to no avail.
          cheers,
          Gary

and yet another grenade launcher which I am still awaiting the arrival off, again there are differences, the clamp part (1) where the barrel screws into is more like the standard grenade launcher in appearance, noticeable is the thinner ring (2) at the base of the barrel, and this example has the lines cut into the end of the barrel (3) like the standard type,

a picture of 3 examples to help show the differences, until the other one arrives I cannot tell how it is marked or what the screw thread is like on this example, does anyone else have any info or other examples?
                  cheers,
                  Gary
