New Member & Some of my Weapons

    Hi everybody,
I'm a new member here who loves collecting WWII militaria and thought I'd start posting.

Here's some pictures of my weapons so far.

First is my RC 98K a total mismatch with a AR 42 barrel & receiver. The shellac was flaking of pretty bad, so I cleaned the stock up with denatured alcohol and applied boiled linseed oil which I believe was the correct finish.

            welcome and thanks for sharing.

I know people are tired of hearing me say this, but I am envious of you living where there is no rust.... I live near cape canaveral.

Thanks Rick and Yes It's dry here, but it can be a furnace in the summer.

              Right now at 10:00 P.M. at night it's 101 degrees F

I have family in Eustis, Fl. so I know how humid it gets there.

And Finally, not WWII, but my favorite rifle to shoot is a 1966 Egyptian Hakim.

This rifle is based upon the WWII Swedish Ljungman rifle and was built under contract in Egypt with a few minor changes.

It's chamber for the 8mm mauser round.

Well that's my milsurp collection and thanks for looking.

                    Welcome!

Your displays look terrific- I love the way you have "accessorised" each rifle.

                    Keep up the good work!

P.S. I need the stock off your K98k. It is WaA214 stamped with the cupped buttplate- I need it for my RC duv 41 ZF-41 project

Very nice looking goupings.I enjoy doing the same thing. Once I pick up a new piece I like putting it together with some period items. My problem is room, so I stay away from field equipment, and go with awards and accessories. Keep up the good work. frank v.
