    Panzerschreck

Im new to the forum, but just wanted to share a few memories about the local army surplus store back in the early 1960's. They had a panzerschreck for sale at $19.95, complete with camo blast shield in almost unissued condition. The schreck was green and now I believe it was a Finnish issue. It had SA marked on it. It was fully operational and complete with a leather strap.

Now my questions....what would it be worth today in the collectors market? Was the green the original color? Thanks, and I wish I would have bought the thing back then. We always admired the schrek when we went to the store. Back then we just thought it was a bazooka!

I have a catalogue somewhere from that time period and the Panzerschrecks were actually on sale at two for $12.95 or something like that! I'll try and find it. They also had Wehrmacht 3.7cm Pak guns for sale.

I've got a Service Armament Catalog (dated 1961) that has a picture of a Panzershreck in it but calls it out as a 3.5" Bazooka......It is priced at $19.95.......I'm not sure IF they are talking about a German anti-tank weapon or U.S.?.....It would be my guess that this the calalog that Gunbunny is talking about......Bodes

An untouched german one in good condition is worth at least 1500/2000 euros (IMO). Only colors i've seen so far for Panzerschreck are tan or camouflaged two or three colors (tan from factory, camouflaged on the field)
        ciao!

          panzerschreck

Were the Fin schrecks not German issue? Green, a post war repaint? 2000 Euros....what would that be in U.S. dollars? I will try to locate the guy who I think might have bought the schreck to see if he still has it or knows where it might be...thanks for all your help. I will keep all posted....Zar

issued for german army and reissued to finnish army, so it's not an untouched german one (as he bears SA of finnish army and green color)

1500 euro is a bit more than $2000
            2000 euro is $2720
            ciao!

Hi Zar, roughly $2,719. An ex Finnish one was for sale in the UK for about $2000.

              Cheers, Ade.

                Price for a Panzerschrek

In the May issue of Small Arms Review, there is a Panzerschrek (live) in a dealer ad for $2950.
