Very well said, and if the bullet if hollow point or not is just one of those variables, with only limited effect.

You obviously know your ballistics well, so I dont think there is more need to continue the discution.

I recently had the occasion to see something like 15 or 20 AK 47 bullets found in bodies of victims of the war in Yougoslavia. Most had been fired from pretty close ranges, and al had stayed in the body of the victims. It seems to me the majority of them were quite pristine, though several were extremely damaged.
I believe Italian ww2 bullets (used to shoot Kennedy) are quit a bit more solid then AK 47 bullets (and also much more stable), so it is not very surprising that a pristine bullet was found on Kennedy. In fact, that bullet was not found on Kennedy, but on Governor Connely's strecher, after supposedly falling out of his wounded wrist.
The only strange thing to me it that the bullet fell out of his wrist on its own...
I used to think the Kennedy murder was a set up. But after carefully analysing pictures and details on all the conspiracy websites, I found that everything looks to fit together pretty well with Oswald being the shooter. Most of the arguments for a conspiracy were pretty ridiculous, though a few details of the whole story remain rather incredible; but possible (Oswalds marksmanship for example).

Here are two bullets I found with my detector, the lower one is an italian bullet just like the ones that killed Kennedy.
