    Hi Acer,

Difficult question to answer. It's always the same thing.
All depends on your wishes.. In some part of the Europe, you'll find it for 600 €, on others, it's more than 2000 if it hasn't been deactivated.

Nevertheless, to answer your question, it's a normal price.. maybe a little bit expensive (it's my humble opinion).

    Best regards

That would be a reasonable price here stateside.....Appears to be a 'bcd43' as it doesn't have the notched scope rail and has the threaded barrel end w/nut......Gustloff made G43's are quite a bit more scarce than Walthers and BLMs......I don't think the stock is original (proofs look off) and parts appear to have some pitting......Still, many would pay that here for a decent shooter......Bodes

I agree with Bodes that the metal looks like a pitted bcd G43. The stock does not look original to the rifle - it looks like it is new.

If you look at page 105 of Hitler's Garands, the rarely scene WaA749 stamp is shown. The pic on that page doesn't match the pic of the WaA749 (?) and two other stamps shown in this post.

The stock looks like a Shoei stock - see - http://www.shoeiseisakusho.co.jp/g43%20photo.htm The handguard does not have the normal striation pattern of a laminated G43 handguard. Instead, it has the Shoei pattern.

I am of the opinion that it is a refinished pitted out bcd G43 with a Shoei stock put on it.

It should be noted that my opinion is basically worthless.

What does the barrel (inside) look like?

If it can still fire it is a good deal, if it is deactivated, run away and dont look back.

            Bcd Mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well like the others have said the reciever is a BCD in 1943 serial 9382. this rifle looks like a GROUND DUG rifle with how the pitting is all over the action, action cover, bolt carrier AND rear sight. i can't see much of the barrel but i would bet to cover the severe pitting they have re-barreled this rifle!!! the bolt carrier has been obviously be cleaned up and the serial has BEEN APPLIED in the WRONG place. so this rifle have been forced match. the stock is a SHOEI stock that has had the wrong WaA134 stamp applied and horriable attempts of proof marks with NO WaA under them added it should be 2 WaA749's only!!!! To make them even MORE unbelieveable they are stamped on the wrong side of the stock!!!! some friend?????, RUN, RUN VERY FAST from this rifle.

            later
