    Wher eto look for a kriegsmodel stock cap?

    I'm having a bear of a time trying to locate a source for the stamped sheet metal nosecap that takes the place of the bayonet lug on a Kiregsmodel K98 stock. The stamped metal part that is retained on the tip of the stock with a wood screw.

    Anyone know where to looks for one? I've got an otherwise complete Kriegsmodel swp45 that needs this part to be whole again but am not having any luck whatsoever. I understand the Israeli .22 conversion use the same part on the stock tip (can anyone confirm?), so there ought to be some around (I hope).

    Anyhow, if anyone has any advice I'd be appreciative. I can and will pay top dollar for one, if I can ever find the damn thing!!!

        ok, well I got a cap. Had to buy an Israeli .22 trainer to rob the cap off it, and then put the trainer back on consignment minus the cap. Sad to have to resort to that, but I had exhausted all other sources

          These "caps" show up on ebay, I have seen several within the last two years.
