    Mounting the zf41

    I picked up a zf41 scope from a antique fair a couple of years ago and I have recently bought a deactivated k98k rifle, I would like to mount the scope on the rifle just for a show piece. I have seen a couple of different mounts one is a adapter and the other a rail mount which looks the better option, can any one give me any advice on buying a rail mount which are advertised on ebay by two different seller one in France the other in Italy.

    As nobody seems to be answering you,I will say that any of them will do,but try to find one that has the same WaA as you rifle, specially Mauser made.

        Thanks for the reply Ace, found the markings which are Sauer code ce WaA37.
        I have not seen a mount for sale with that number so I will probably have to get one with a different stamp,there seem to be no mounts for sale at the moment so I will have to wait till someone lists them on Ebay again.

          Hi Steve. The repro rail mounts are pretty good, but be advised that a gunsmith will have to install it (they are soldered onto the barrel). The adapter-type mount you could install yourself.

          If you dont already have a scope mount, There are a couple on eBay right now.

          Third option would be to sell the scope to me! I have a DUV 41 ZF-41 rifle that I am trying to find a scope for.

            Hi John.
            I have a mate who is a gunsmith and he said he will do the work for me so that is not a problem. I dont want to sell the scope because I have just bought the rifle to mount it on.

              Can anyone post a picture of the cutout on the k98k stock where the zf41 is mounted, I have seen a few pictures and I am not sure which is right.
