    Anyone own a MG42?

    For anyone who owns a live or deactivated MG42. I was wondering where you can get one and how much they go for. Thanks

    John, I heard a rumor from a friend of Bob Landies, (Ohio Ordnance) that he's going to be selling a live one for around $40K.......Bodes

      is that seriously what they cost? I guess the live ones are a lot more rare than the dummy ones...

        I sold mine several years ago for 20k. So yeah they are getting up there.

            You can still pick them up in the U.S. for between $1000-$1500...sometimes if you are lucky it will have a real (but pooched ) receiver instead of an aluminum one..

            It is really hard to find one in Canada for a good price..

            ..and *hint* i'm looki'in if anyones sell'in!!

                They have one on their site listed at $43k with a spare barrel.

                I know I couldnt get anyone to come down from $40k when I wa shopping for a 42. I wound up buying a 60. But I may go ahead and get a 42 since like said they wont be getting much cheaper.

                Thats if I dont find some other NFA guns I really want before hand....

                    Dummy guns are on ebay once in a while, or you can check with the guys on www.mg42.us They often have dummy guns for sale.

                      There's quite a few MG42 de-acts in England at the moment.
                      .. Many have just been imported from ex-soviet captured stores ...

                              I have a nice MG42, although I got hosed seeing that prices are at 1500 USD. I paid 3500 Canadian for mine when the dollar was pretty bad vs the US buck, but it came with some little extras, like a Bren gun.
