    My knowlegde of handguns is terrible.

    What would be a reasionable price for a p38 pistole regardless of its condition
    (although I probably wont puchase one anytime soon)?

    Postwar P1-250-325$
    Russian Capture reblue- 450$-500$
    CYQ code (common)-500-600$
    BYF code (common- 500-600$
    AC code (43,44 dated) 500-600$
    AC code 41/42 dated 600-900$
    AC rare codes (AC40, AC no date)- thousands $$$$
    Postwar French SVW's, metal grips-400-550$

    Best bet, do a lot of research before you buy the gun. Buy the Buxton books (Warren Buxton) if you want to start collecting P38's. Check out the P38 Forum ran by Orv Reichert. Look at completed auctions on auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com. And, keep asking questions here. Chris...
