    10 x 90 Ajack Scope Mystery....

    Dear Gentlemen,

I do apologise for the very poor quality of these photos. My friend is currently away and I have no more at the moment but I promise to get some.

Here is the decription of the scope he gave me:

Attached are a couple of photos of the scope the only marks on it are its stamped Ajack 10X50, but it’s a 10X90 ! I’ve looked over it with a glass and it steps from 10 to 50 then to 90 these are smoth transitions all with the same colouring of the metal I would say all done at the same time. Let me know what you can find out. I can find no trace in Senich’s The German Sniper 1914-1945.

What exactly smoth transitions are I have no idea, probably a typo.

I have seen the scope and it looks like a really big Ajack scope to me but I have handled a few German scopes and this thing is on sterroids. Never seen anything like it before. It shoots really well and currently sits on a .303 WW1 Lee Enfield.

    Any idea anyone ?

    Regards Craig.

This scope was never used by snipers. Too big and heavy. The Jackenroll company producing Ajack's used the second number for focal line length designation, effecting in field of view.

More pictures are here. Any ideas as to what this mystery scope appreciated. It will soon be up for sale but we need to know exactly what it is.

        Regards Craig.

IMO it is a civilian hunting-scope.
It has the typical mount for a hunting scope..

                  Cheers

But it is very big Maybe to shoot elephants Or a mouse at 1200 yards
