That is gorgeous! Beautiful example of a first year production (1931) Ace. I presume the serial number under the firing pin stop plate matches the frame? And what's in the box? yellow sight instructions tag? manual? cleaning brush? sight adjustment tool? 3 in 1 oil sample? Very nice!

Nice pistol. I find the serial number of your ACE to be very interesting, b/c I purchased Colt "ACE" #7300 back in November. My gun came from the original owner who purchased it (c. 1937) as an ROTC cadet at Ohio State, under a Colt factory program where ROTC and active military got a 20% or 25% discount off list price. My gun is in just about the same condition as yours, except for the front gripstrap which shows a bit more blueing loss due to being held by sweaty palms.

My gun did not come with the box, but it did come with the yellow hang tag w/ sight adjustment instructions, sight adjustment tool, cleaning brush (in original paper sleve) and the instruction booklet.

Super nice guns and I'm proud to have mine, just as I am sure you are happy with yours.

Yes, the serial numbers of our Aces are MOST interesting, as the history of mine is from Indiana!!!
