From what e can see, it looks very nice. Is it all matching ?

              Mike

              P.S.
If anyone wants to sell a top example K98 & is happy to ship to New Zealand, please PM or email me.

The finish appears to be a Russian capture......So original numbers will not match.....It should be post-war forced matched by the Russians......Bodes

If its for shooting ,might be OK but for collection it is worthless. You better look for an unmessed ,matching numbers one than.

I agree with the guys, the 98K is reworked ...

Good for shooting but not for the collection

I agree with others. If it is a collectible rifle I would hold off and wait for an all matching original. They pop up from time to time on gunbroker.com and sturmgewehr.com (you can post a Want Ad there too). If it's a shooter and representative piece you are after, then this rifle will suffice nicely.

I will show pictures of the reciever later tonight. And I bought this rifle as a shooter for marksmanship competitions.

                              Hello,
IMO cleaning kit and ammo pouch are not german WWII, K98k is entirely reworked.
                              ciao!
