Thank you very much. The helmet was taken off of a Japanese prisoner in the Philippines.

Nice rifles. The Jap rifles are all interesting. It is hard to find 2 alike so there will always be some to collect. I like the helmet also. Don't forget to get bayonets for all of them. Please show the new one when you get it.

The book is very good indeed, it is very addictive, so isnt japanese rifles. For some reason, japanese rifles are more addictive than anything else.

I don't have one yet, but hope to after I return to the US.
                  Are the mums intact?

                    Josh,
Very nice rifles. I was just looking at my Nagoya no series Type 99 last night. Gotta love those Arisakas.

                    Best,
                    Gunnar

The one with the cleaning rod has the mum intact. with a bolt that matches the assembly number. Both the rifles are Nagoya, mummed one(with cleaning rod) is a third series, and the one with out the cleaning rod is second.

These rifles are very addicting, alot more addicting than any other militaria. You can never stop with one, that was the grand plan in the begining with the first one, but I just had to get into collecting Japanese rifles. It wont stop with one, two, ten, one-hundred, ever. By the time I am 18, I will probably have more than ten rifles. by the time I am 100, I will have the whole Nagoya arsenal.

I have gotten more into Japanese guns over time, because all of the German stuff is way too expensive and alot of it is fake.

I agree with you. I don't worry about my k.98s and Lugers being fake, but as far as militaria goes, I just can't afford the good German stuff anymore, so have started focusing on Soviet and Japanese. Since my son is half-Japanese, I hope he will someday appreciate it (after all, my collection will be his someday!).

There are fake K98ks(humped pimpshined RCs), but they are easy to tell apart from the real ones.

I actually feel Japanese helmets are undervalued... and German... are overvalued.

I find about 12 to 15 German helmets... for every ONE Japanese...

i completely agree with you. Alot of Japanese stuff is undervalued. Including rifles, most people around here have alot of admiration for Japanese rifles, but some say they are junk, but everybody thinks german guns are the best, but from my experience, Japanese guns are more accurate and usually better quality, I would rather fire a last ditch Japanese rifle than a VK98.
